The Panther Pantry was created in 2015 as a resource for our students and their families. The program started with four students that took food home every week. The program now provides for 160 students weekly. The pantry also provides clothing and other essential hygiene items for the students and their families. Back Pack Program
This program sends food home with students on the weekends and over long breaks but does not include summer break. Food that is sent home is enough for the student to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for each day not for the entire family. Virtual students are eligible to receive a backpack.
Family Food Giveaway
Our Family Food Giveaway occurs monthly on the third Thursday of the month (unless otherwise noted) from 5:00-6:00PM or until we run out of food. It takes place in the West Parking Lot located near the football field. Patrons are asked not to get in line until 4:30PM so we can dismiss the students from school. Patrons need to supply their own bags or boxes to carry the food in and must have a student attending Southside Middle School.
